Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”
Romans 8:1, NASB

2 Corinthians 12:7 ESV

So to keep me from becoming conceited because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations, a thorn was given me in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to harass me, to keep me from becoming conceited.”

God created light to defeat darkness. He brought forth knowledge to fight against ignorance. I believe that God is helping science to overcome illness, including mental illness. It is not good enough to interpret mental illness by demonic influences. Mental illness is only one form of many illnesses the body could face. The mind/brain is part of this body that is bound to be affected by illness. If mental illness is an affliction of the soul, so is diabetes, cholesterol and cancer. Prayer is very useful, but adding to this an understanding of the root of the issue and bringing the light of God into the matter is even better.
