Genesis 1 – Verse 1 – Word 5

For Hebrew and Arabic, please read from the right to the left
א,א בראשית, ברא אלוהים, את השמיים, ואת הארץ.

Skyies השמיים السماء
1- ה = The.

2-  לשים= to put, place, lay, set; make, cause; appoint    

3- שֵׁמִי = Adjective (shami-شامي ) or in Arabic (Sami سامي) derived from the noun Sham, which is all of Syria and Lebanon (pays of Shem)+Semite. Also, as an adjective, shami means honourable, high up in values.

4-שמים = sky, heaven, sphere, firmament, empyreal, empyrean

5-שמיים =[shamiyim] [السمائين] z”r sky, heaven ; (talmudic) God Formally, it means sky, heaven, sphere, firmament, empyreal, empyrean. Singular form: sama [Hebrew pronunciation: shama]
