|10 Hear the word of the Lord,You rulers of Sodom; Give ear to the law of our God, You people of Gomorrah:|
|There is a hope in the rulers of Sodom, and in the people of Gomorrah, says the Lord. This hope is to listen to the Word of God and understand his laws. So, the way to achieve righteousness is to read the Word of God and know his will.|
|11 “To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices to Me?”Says the Lord.“I have had enough of burnt offerings of ramsAnd the fat of fed cattle.I do not delight in the blood of bulls,Or of lambs or goats. “When you come to appear before Me,Who has required this from your hand,To trample My courts? 13 Bring no more futile sacrifices;Incense is an abomination to Me.The New Moons, the Sabbaths, and the calling of assemblies—I cannot endure iniquity and the sacred meeting.14 Your New Moons and your appointed feastsMy soul hates; They are a trouble to Me,I am weary of bearing them.15 When you spread out your hands,I will hide My eyes from you;Even though you make many prayers,I will not hear.Your hands are full of blood.|
|What is a Sacrifice for God?
Sacrifice is supposed to be something hard for humans to do but they do it to please God.
|What is a Sacrifice for a person of that era?
Internally, there were spirits inhabiting the souls that demanded blood shed of the innocent. These spirits controlled the human thinking. It bargained with the conscious mind. If you don’t surrender to my demands, then you’ll suffer, you’ll die, etc. So, the person gave up and was entangled by the pleasure it brought him.
|Why God accepted animal sacrifice from the beginning?
God accepted animal sacrifice because
1-it was beggars belief; people thought God ate meat!
2- To teach them generosity and sharing because they fed on meat.
3- To increase humanity’s consciousness of their bond with God.
|If God didn’t ask for any tangible sacrifices, then the demons will continue demanding human sacrifices and because of the rituals that go with it and the lust of the human soul, people loved sacrifices.|
|It may involved deprivation – Fasting is sacrifice – Not being of the world|
2- Righteousness Better than Sacrifices
|16 “Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; Put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes.Cease to do evil,17 Learn to do good; Seek justice, Rebuke the oppressor; Defend the fatherless, Plead for the widow.|
|Rebuke the oppressor||the bad spirits that live off sin.||It also means;||the physical worldly oppressors|
|27 Zion shall be redeemed with justice, And her penitents with righteousness.|
|-be redeemed [ فُدِيَت – الرب فداها] – with justice [ بالعدل فدى الرب تلّ صهيون] , And her penitents [feeling sorry for our sins] with righteousness.|
|This I think means: her salvation dwells in her righteousness.|
The Latter Days
בְּאַחֲרִ֣ית – [bə·’a·ḥă·rîṯ ] in latter // הַיָּמִ֗ים [hay·yā·mîm ] days = آخر الايام
|2 Now it shall come to pass in the latter days That the mountain of the Lord’s house Shall be established on the top of the mountains,
And shall be exalted above the hills; And all nations shall flow to it.
|The mountain of the Lord or his [tall] in Arabic and Hebrew is tall Sahyu:n. It is the tall that He has given himself to become a symbol of his authority over Israel. Now, in the latter days, this will triumph over all the mountains predicting that the covenant that God made with Israel will triumph and even the gentiles will surrender to its authority.|
|https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Zion Mount Zion is a spiritual location that became first know with the prophet Samuel then King David. This location moved 3 or 4 times in history. This is a very good evidence that God chooses a particular spiritual location in our souls the same way He did on earth.|
|Shall be established on the top of the mountains: This means that at the time of the speaker, the mountain of the House of God was not established on top of the mountains. But the prophecy is; at the latter days, it will be physically so. This could be physically and spiritually. Mount Zion is hardly a tall (mount) now. But the location may change in the latter days to become the tallest mountain ever! Mountain Everest maybe? [span across six countries: China, Nepal, India, Pakistan, Bhutan, and Afghanistan. Himalaya means “abode of snow” in Sanskrit.
This also can mean that Mount Zion wherever will be based, will triumph over all other nations and will be either the only religious pilgrim destination or the one that counts the highest number of worshippers, like Christianity is today.
|3 Many people shall come and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,To the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways,And we shall walk in His paths.”For out of Zion shall go forth the law,And the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.|
|It is bizarre that Isaiah would say that knowing that historically he came after Moses and lived on the Law of Moses. However, he’s saying that in the latter days, there will be still a different law or a more perfected law of God flowing out of that location where it’ll be based. But this mount Zion if it’s established within each one whose soul God has conquered, then the law of God will flow directly from the Holy Spirit to the remnant of God.|
|4 He shall judge between the nations, And rebuke many people; They shall beat their swords into plowshares,And their spears into pruning hooks;Nation shall not lift up sword against nation,Neither shall they learn war anymore.|
|If this prophecy was taken literally, then of course people don’t lift swords and spears on each other anymore. The war became Cold war and economic dominance. The class of the rich world wide dominates the poor classes. They dominate them through money. This is the current world system. Small wars are created, not between countries, but by the wealthiest families of the world, to ruin some countries economies so that they steal their wealth. There are no big wars today but evil still exists. But Isaiah might be talking about the nations of Israel; namely Judea, Jerusalem, Ephraim, etc. Yes, these different nations are indeed one nation now and there are no wars between them.|
|10 Enter into the rock, and hide in the dust, From the terror of the Lord And the glory of His majesty.11 The lofty looks of man shall be humbled,The haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, And the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day.12 For the day of the Lord of hosts Shall come upon everything proud and lofty, Upon everything lifted up—And it shall be brought low—13 Upon all the cedars of Lebanon that are high and lifted up, And upon all the oaks of Bashan;14 Upon all the high mountains, And upon all the hills that are lifted up;15 Upon every high tower, And upon every fortified wall;16 Upon all the ships of Tarshish, And upon all the beautiful sloops.17 The loftiness of man shall be bowed down,And the haughtiness of men shall be brought low;The Lord alone will be exalted in that day,18 But the idols He shall utterly abolish.19 They shall go into the holes of the rocks,And into the caves of the earth,From the terror of the LordAnd the glory of His majesty,When He arises to shake the earth mightily.20 In that day a man will cast away his idols of silver
And his idols of gold,Which they made, each for himself to worship,To the moles and bats,21 To go into the clefts of the rocks,
into the crags of the rugged rocks,From the terror of the LordAnd the glory of His majesty,When He arises to shake the earth mightily.
|There will be events that will happen that will force the mighty to humble himself, the rich to beg for mercy, the smart, to seek advice, the fulfilled to see help. These events may be just targeting the proud, lofty and secure of all nations. But they might be only targeting those from Israel.|
|3 For behold, the Lord, the Lord of hosts,Takes away from Jerusalem and from Judah The stock and the store,The whole supply of bread and the whole supply of water;2 The mighty man and the man of war,The judge and the prophet, And the diviner and the elder;3 The captain of fifty and the honorable man,The counselor and the skillful artisan, And the expert enchanter.4 “I will give children to betheir princes,And babes shall rule over them.5 The people will be oppressed,Every one by another and every one by his neighbor; The child will be insolent toward the elder, And the base toward the honourable.”6 When a man takes hold of his brotherIn the house of his father, saying,“You have clothing; You be our ruler, And let these ruins be under your power,”7 In that day he will protest, saying, “I cannot cure your ills, For in my house is neither food nor clothing; Do not make me a ruler of the people.”|
|These are the trials that are promised for the nation of Israel; for the unrighteous children of God which is our nation since we belong to God’s family too.|
Good Future for Jerusalem
|4 And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying,“We will eat our own food and wear our own apparel; Only let us be called by your name,To take away our reproach.” 2 In that day the Branch of the Lord shall be beautiful and glorious; And the fruit of the earth shall beexcellent and appealing For those of Israel who have escaped. 3 And it shall come to pass that he who isleft in Zion and remains in Jerusalem will be called holy—everyone who is recorded among the living in Jerusalem. 4 When the Lord has washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and purged the blood of Jerusalem from her midst, by the spirit of judgment and by the spirit of burning, 5 then the Lord will create above every dwelling place of Mount Zion, and above her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day and the shining of a flaming fire by night. For over all the glory there will be a covering. 6 And there will be a tabernacle for shade in the daytime from the heat, for a place of refuge, and for a shelter from storm and rain.|
