Prophecies of Isaiah

Isaiah 1

9 Unless the Lord of hosts Had left to us a very small remnant, We would have become like Sodom, We would have been made like Gomorrah.
Who are these remnants? They are the minority who are righteous?

What does it mean that God left them for Israel?  It means that He didn’t call them to Him (they didn’t die), it means that He kept them in the land (didn’t push them to immigrate) and it also means that He made them known by their righteousness and it made a difference in the lives of the remainder because they became like a guarding angel that kept them from ending like Sodom and Gomorrah.

Psalm 1: 7  Your country is desolate, Your cities areburned with fire; Strangers devour your land in your presence; And it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers. 8  So the daughter of Zion is left as a [e]booth in a vineyard, As a hut in a garden of cucumbers, As a besieged city. 9  Unless the Lord of hosts Had left to us a very small remnant, We would have become like Sodom, We would have been made like Gomorrah.
When the sin is in the souls of a group of people (of a society) then it reflects itself in social, economical and political probalms. It leads to a country with various problems. As in the souls of the residents, so it is in our countries. We notice that these verses speak about the impact of the sin on the society as a whole.
Isaiah 1: 16 “Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; Put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes. Cease to do evil, 17  Learn to do good; Seek justice, Rebuke [i]the oppressor; Defend the fatherless, Plead for the widow.
God asks people to wash themselves. What does this mean? On a Spiritual Level: It is to deal with the issue of evil from the root. This can only work on an individual level through willing to be cleaned, praying for healing and waiting for the healing of the Spirit of God. On a physical level, to stop obeying the flesh Theologically speaking the root of evil is spiritual so to deal with it, it usually happens from the soul to the physical. As long as the spiritual is not healed, the physical is not manifesting the healing.
Isaiah 1: 19 If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land;20 But if you refuse and rebel,You shall be devoured by the sword”;For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.
How can God ask people to be willing if He is recognising the disease behind their evil deeds? God puts pressure on the soul to find its way out of the ordeal it put itself in. Listening, understanding and heading is the beginning of wisdom. Humanities have to hate their sin so much and love their God so much to be able to ask for healing in the right way. As long as the person does not owe up to their sin, as long as they’re hiding it, evil remains there.
Isaiah 1: 21 How the faithful city has become a harlot! It was full of justice;Righteousness lodged in it,But now murderers.
The end punctuation could be an exclamation mark or a question mark. How? and Why? This is an intriguing question. The reality of the soul that it is a dwelling place, like a physical dwelling. In the same way that dust and all nasties creep and make a house their home, spiritual nasties also creep in a soul and try to take residence. And the same way we get rid of nasties in a home regularly to stop having an infestation, we also need to wash our souls for the same reason. How would anyone wash their soul? We’re able to wash our souls if we loved truth and love itself. Through genuine, humble prayer, the Spirit of God is willing to come and deal with the issue. The problem is ignorance through deception. People believe the enemies lies and claim the bad spirits as part of themselves. They then close up and hide their filth from God.
Isaiah 1: 22 Your silver has become dross,Your wine mixed with water.23 Your princes are rebellious,And companions of thieves;Everyone loves bribes,And follows after rewards. They do not defend the fatherless,Nor does the cause of the widow come before them.
These are the signs of the lack of righteousness. The fruit of evil within the soul.
Isaiah 1: 24 Therefore the Lord says, The Lord of hosts, the Mighty One of Israel, “Ah, I will rid Myself of My adversaries, And take vengeance on My enemies. 25 I will turn My hand against you, And thoroughly purge away your dross, And take away all your alloy. 26

I will restore your judges as at the first, And your counselors as at the beginning. Afterward you shall be called the city of righteousness, the faithful city.”

God speaks to the soul of the earth; to humanity. Since humanity did not give away its nasty spirits and did not will to be cleaned or to denounce unrighteousness, God will do the cleaning nevertheless, and it will feel unpleasant. God made of the unrighteous humans his own personal adversaries. God is righteousness itself. He is the Spirit of Righteousness and love and allowing other spirits to prosper and eat up the seeds of God within the human soul is making God its own enemy.

Isaiah 6

13 But yet a tenth will bein it,And will return and be for consuming,As a terebinth tree or as an oak,Whose stump remains when it is cut down.So the holy seed shall be its stump.”

Isaiah 7

The Immanuel Prophecy

10 Moreover the Lord [יְהוָ֔ה] [Yah·weh]  spoke again to Ahaz, saying, 11 “Ask a sign for yourself from the Lord your God; ask it either in the depth or in the height above.”

12 But Ahaz said, “I will not ask, nor will I test the Lord!”

13 Then he said, “Hear now, O house of David! Is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will you weary my God also?

Spoke = yō·mer literally means to instruct, make an order. Apparently in Hebrew just means to say.

sign [א֔וֹת] – [’ō·wṯ]  = letter = sign (noun) ; omen, sign, indication ; (military) ribbon, badge ; לאות– as a sign of        נַסֶּ֖ה   Try         לֹא  لاَ    No

Hear now: [שִׁמְעוּ  נָ֖א ]  [šim·‘ū    ]  this means Listen to usnot now,

small [מְעַ֤ט ] [ m.ع.t] A little – few,

Is it [was written next to weary instead of next to small] [הל  هَلْ]

to weary: [א֣וֹת ] letter – sign (noun) ; omen, sign, indication ; (military) ribbon, badge ; לאות – as a sign of-

People: [אֲנָשִׁ֔ים]  [الناس]

but: [כִּ֥י ] it doesn’t mean but- it means in order to, for the purpose of, [كَيْ] it can also mean, then, in some context.

Will you weary: [תַלְא֖וּ ] do not worry – [תלא] [tala] please

Also: [גַּ֥ם ] also, in addition ; even ; (biblical) furthermore, indeed.

My God: [אֶת־אֱלֹהָֽי׃  ]  [’eṯ- ’ĕ·lō·hāy. ]  This means YOUR GOD NOT [my God]!!!

هل قليل عليك انتمتحن الناس (?) فهيا امتحني  الاهك.  Is it small for you to test people (?) so there you go, try me, your God.

14 Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin [עַלְמָ֗ה OR hā·‘al·māh,عالمة]

shall conceive [ hā·rāh ]and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel [May God be with us]. 15 Curds and honey He shall eat, that He may know to refuse the evil and choose the good. 16 For before the Child shall know to refuse the evil and choose the good, the land that you dread will be forsaken by both her kings…”

Therefore: [לכן] [لكن] this doesn’t mean therefore. It means but!!!

conceive  hā·rāh – [ הָרָה֙ ]  to conceive, to imagine, to think up ; hrth – to conceive, to become pregnant

Immanual: [עִמָּ֥נוּאֵֽל׃  ] [עמנואל ]  They system recognise it only as a Hebrew name.  [עמנו] means (our People) and [עמן] means (with them)  So, it’s just a name or maybe the meaning (El is with us) was lost to the translation- in Arabic ( معانابقلب مكاني الميم والعاء)

Here He means, but, don’t worry, I will give you a sign. [“هذا يعنيان الرب استدركهنا قائلا،و لكن،لاعليك، فها أنا أعطيكدليلا]

[  العالمة تحبلو تولدابن و تقرا سموا(تسميه)   ]

العَلاَمةُالأثرالعَلَمُ: شيء منصوبٌ فيالطريق يُهتدَى بهالعَلاَّمَةُ رجل عالممتمرس في علمه– We will know in chapter 8 that Isaiah’s wife was a prophetess, and people might have called her a woman of knowledge, so in that case, this Sametic meaning makes perfect sense.

17 The Lord will bring the king of Assyria upon you and your people and your father’s house—days that have not come since the day that Ephraim departed from Judah.”18 And it shall come to pass in that day That the Lord will whistle for the fly That is in the farthest part of the rivers of Egypt, And for the bee that is in the land of Assyria.19 They will come, and all of them will rest In the desolate valleys and in the clefts of the rocks, And on all thorns and in all pastures. 25 And to any hill which could be dug with the hoe,You will not go there for fear of briers and thorns; But it will become a range for oxenAnd a place for sheep to roam.
When looking closer to 14-25, this becomes clear that it’s not about a prophecy of a Messiah but it’s about a prophecy warning of war and hard times coming that will teach those who will live it and endure it to reject evil and embrace goodness. So, the curds and honey here may sound good and they’re good in the eyes of God, but not as the reader may think. This curd and honey was harvested from among the thorns. It’s a wisdom collected in hardship and its highly admired by God. This is why God uses evil – the second type of evil – to fight the human nature and teach it to align to His will.  This may sound and seem scary to us, but if we put ourselves in God’s ‘shoes’ so to speak, pour our awareness into our own spiritual realm and find a reality that horrifies us and belittle us, then our responsibility is to stand up to that reality and devise all the plans possible to bend it to our good will and shape it accordingly. We are in God’s realm and this is how God perceives us to be; part of himself.

Isaiah 8

Moreover the Lord [יְהוָה֙ – Yah·weh ]said to me, “Take a large scroll, and write on it with a man’s pen concerning Maher-Shalal-Hash-Baz. And I will take for Myself faithful witnesses to record, Uriah the priest and Zechariah the son of Jeberechiah.” Then I went to the prophetess, and she conceived and bore a son. Then the Lord said to me, “Call his name Maher-Shalal-Hash-Baz; for before the child shall have knowledge to cry ‘My father’ and ‘My mother,’ the riches of Damascus and the spoil of Samaria will be taken away before the king of Assyria.”
 Maher-Shalal-Hash-Baz;

Msher – root: הר adjectiveהפועל  it means: quickly, fast – See conjugaison below.

Shalal = שָׁלָ֖ל  =  to loot

Hash = חָ֥שׁ  =  without niqqud (חשׁ ) = Felt – Senses – to hurry, to make haste – to feel, to sense ; to feel pain in – to feel, to sense ; to feel pain in

Baz – בַּֽז – a falcon – also –   verb בָּז to despise, to scorn – (biblical) booty, spoils, contemn; jeer at, mock/ to despise, desecrate, humiliate, put to shame –

The Name is:

Mortal, soon you will be looted, in pain and disgraced.

Conclusion: Theologians long tried to make chapter 7 a prophecy for the coming Messiah, so much as that they have hidden the meaning of the prophecy linked to it in chapter 8 by not translating the subject of prophecy calling it just a name!
